Filipinos’ satisfaction with the job performance of the outgoing Aquino administration has declined but remained “good” in the first quarter Social Weather Stations survey results.
In the nationwide survey conducted last March 30-April 2 among 1,200 adult respondents, SWS found out that 60 percent were satisfied and 26 percent were dissatisfied with the Aquino administration’s work in the first quarter of 2016, bringing to “good” +35 (percentage of satisfies minus percentage of dissatisfied) the net satisfaction rating of the outgoing government.
This is lower by four points from the +39 (61 percent satisfied and 23 percent dissatisfied) registered in the last quarter of 2015 but still within the “good” classification.
SWS attributed the good rating of the Aquino administration to the significant drop in the satisfaction of those in Metro Manila from +36 in December to +17 in March. It also fell in the rest of Luzon from +35 to +30, and Mindanao from +36 to +33. (Ellalyn B. de Vera)
