GENERAL SANTOS CITY – The police regional command here is conducting investigation into the reported involvement of some policemen on illegal drug trade.
Police Regional Office-12 director Cedric Train said he is evaluating reports involving scalawag policemen assigned in Region 12 who have links to drug syndicates.
“Undeniably, there are erring police personnel who are involved in illegal drug trade,” Train said.
He said he is validating the reports and conducting counter intelligence to prove the involvement of policemen in the illegal drug trade.
Train, who had just assumed the post early this month, vowed to support the all-out campaign against illegal drugs and criminality of incoming President Rodrigo Duterte.
He expressed optimism that the six-month timeline set by Duterte to eliminate illegal drugs and criminality can be achieved with the strong cooperation of the police and the community. (Joseph Jubelag)
