Sen. Jose Victor “JV” Ejercito yesterday posted bail over a technical malversation charge against him in connection with the alleged anomalous purchase of sub-machine guns for R2.1 million using the calamity fund when he was still mayor of San Juan City in 2008.
Ejercito appeared before the clerk of court of the Sandiganbayan Sixth Division and posted a P6,000 bail, along with outgoing San Juan City Vice Mayor Francisco Zamora, outgoing Councilor Rolando Bernardo, and former Councilor Angelino Mendoza, after it issued warrants of arrest against them.
