GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Police authorities launched Wednesday simultaneous anti-drug operations in several towns in Sultan Kudarat which resulted in the killing of a suspected drug pusher and arrest of 10 others.
Sultan Kudarat police director Raul Supiter said at least 20 search warrants issued by local courts were served by personnel from Provincial Intelligence Branch and Criminal Investigation and Detection Team on known drug personalities and lairs in the different towns across the province.
He said a suspected drug pusher identified as Gilijon Valle was killed after he shot it out with arresting policemen in Bagumbayan town while 10 other drug suspects have been arrested during the raids.
Police seized at least P350,000 worth of shabu and several firearms including Garand and Carbine rifles, a .45-caliber pistol, a .38-caliber revolver, 20 gauge and 5.56 homemade pistols, fragmentation grenades, and drug paraphernalia. (Joseph Jubelag)
