Tropang TNT has settled with former Kansas Jayhawks stalwart Mario Little as import, replacing former NBA campaigner Jason Maxiell, for the season-ending PBA Governors’ Cup set to start July 15.
A 6-foot-5 forward whom TNT mentor Jong Uichico described as a ‘do-it-all’ player, Little will join a team that also obtained the services of Michael Madanley of Syria as its Asian reinforcement.
“Mario Little is more of an all-around player, he can do a little of everything,” said Uichico, whose team initially had Maxiell but was measured over the height limit for the third conference.
The undrafted Little played in the NBA D-League for the Oklahoma City Blue and the Tulsa 66ers, as well as in pro leagues in Spain and recently in Korea for the Anyang KGC.
“He arrived yesterday (Sunday) and he, as well as Madanley were introduced to their new teammates. They had a good practice, so unti-unti nabubuo yung team,” said Uichico.
