FANS and netizens are speculating that actors Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola are playing sweet music together after they were spotted watching a movie at a mall in Mandaluyong City recently.
Manzano, host of the Kapamilya game show “Family Feud,” has initially denied rumors linking him to Mendiola.
But when Manzano was asked to comment about her rumored affair with Mendiola in a new interview, the actor chose to keep quiet, according to a report on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
Last Sunday, June 26, Manzano’s co-host Toni Gonzaga-Soriano, and Jolina Magdangal teased the actor on Mendiola.
“I’m sure ‘yung katabi ko bumoto sa kanya sa isang survey para sa sexiest woman of the world ng isang men’s magazine,” said Gonzaga, who was obviously referring to Mendiola. That time, Gonzaga stood next to Manzano on “ASAP.”
“Bumoto po ako sa Batangas… noong election,” replied Manzano, 35, who was formerly in a relationship with actress Angel Locsin.
“Pero karapat-dapat din naman s’yang maging sexiest ng men’s magazine na yun,” said Gonzaga.
“Hindi naman masama ang ma-in love, di ba?” asked Magdangal.
Mendiola has refused to comment about the rumors involving Manzano.
Reports have earlier linked Mendiola to actor JC de Vera following her break-up with actor JM de Guzman in 2015.
De Vera has also denied courting Mendiola and said they were just friends.
Abunda, host of the late-night talk show, said that he respects the privacy of the two stars.
“Here in TWBA, I want to respect the silence of Jessy and Luis. And I know when both are ready to share with us kung ano ba talaga ang tutoong estado nilang dalawa. Hindi ipagkakait ‘yan nila Luis at ni Jessy. Pero para sa akin, sana tutoo,” said Abunda.
Mendiola, 23, who was last seen in the Kapamilya teleserye “You’re My Home,” is one of the front-runners in the list of sexiest Filipinas conducted by FHM magazine.
The results of the sexiest survey are expected to be released in the July issue of the men’s magazine.
Mendiola is currently shooting the movie “Sin Island.”
