Arellano University and San Sebastian College aim for a share of the lead with two others when they clash today in the 92nd NCAA men’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
Game is at 12 noon with the Chiefs and the Stags seeking a follow-up on their respective opening match victories.
Defending champion Letran collide with winless College of St. Benilde (0-2) at 2 p.m. as the Knights try to improve its 1-1 win-loss record.
Jose Rizal University (0-1) and University of Perpetual Help (0-1), for their part, try to bounce back from their first losses in their 4 p.m. confrontation.
Touted as the team to beat this season, Arellano hopes to keep on its momentum after starting its title bid with an 83-78 win over Perpetual Help last Sunday.
But Coach Jerry Codiñera is guarded over their rivals, saying there is no room to relax in this unpredictable season.
“We need to be more aggressive kasi alam naman natin na mabilis din ang team na yan. San Sebastian is a good team with a good coach,” said Codiñera.
