DESPITE downpour, stars graced the inauguration of Leni Robredo as the 14th Vice President of the Philippines during simple rites at the Executive House, new home of the vice president, in Quezon City on June 30.
Kris Aquino, who just arrived from a wellness vacation in Hawaii and US, represented her sisters at the Robredo inauguration at about 9 a.m.
National Youth Commission chief Dingdong Dantes and wife Marian Rivera also lent star power in the simple inauguration rite.
Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee and Jim Paredes, former member of the musical group APO Hiking Society, also graced the event.
Also spotted were Senators Bam Aquino and Riza Hontiveros, writer and talent manager Noel Ferrer, former representative Erin Tanada and Joan Maglipon, PEP editor-in-chief.
Senator Francis Pangilinan, husband of megastar Sharon Cuneta, came to the inauguration with daughter Frankie.
Georgina Hernandez, spokesperson for Robredo, said that guests at the event were served simple dishes such as sotanghon, pichi-pichi, maja blanca, three kinds of pandesal, buchi with chocnut, and turon.
The inauguration of Robredo lasted for one hour. After the morning ceremonies, Robredo was expected to attend the thanksgiving party with her supporters at the Quezon Memorial Circle at about 5 p.m.
