The name is slightly different but the intention is still the same.
Outgoing House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. will again attempt to lift the restrictive economic provisions in the 1987 Constitution via Resolution of Both Houses No. 2 that will be tackled in the 17th Congress.
Belmonte, who was reelected to a third term as Quezon City fourth district representative last May, filed practically the same measure during the start of the 16th Congress in July 2013. The measure, dubbed by the media as the “economic Cha-Cha (Charter Change)”, was then designated as RBH No. 1. (Ellson Quismorio)
