“If you ask me kung sila na ba, based on the statement of Ken (Enrique), yes!” Abunda said.
Gil, 24, earlier said: “OK naman ako sa family n’ya at sa family ko. They just want us to be what we are now.”
“Para sa akin, it’s fine naman at wala namang pagbabago. Kami pa rin,” said Gil when asked if he and Soberano were more than friends.
But Abunda admitted that he did not “understand” the statement of Gil.
“I understand that when a young person is in love, you talk in riddles. Yung tipongparang kami pero hindi. But that is about falling in love when you’re young. Let’s give it to them,” he said.
Gil added: “We are just the same as what you see on TV. We’re really happy together. After how many years na magkasama kami, it grows more and more each day.”
Fans have urged Gil and Soberano to make their relationship real.
“That’s more on a personal note. They can’t really control what’s happening with our personal lives. But if ever gusto rin naman namin ‘yun, of course we have to take it slowly,” Soberano, 18, said.
Abunda said that it is difficult to have a private life in public but it’s possible.
“Fight for it because it is possible. It is possible to have a private life in public in a work like ours but it’s not easy: private is public and public is private. But if you want to do it, have the tenacity. You have to resolve to make your life private,” he added.
