Close to 3,000 runners have signed up to help clean the country’s waterways and coastal resources by taking part in the Manila Bay Clean-Up Run set Sunday in front of the Aliw Theater at the CCP Complex in Pasay City.
Runners entered in the 21-kilometer race will be fired off at 4:30 a.m. followed by others competing in the 10K, 5K and 3K runs.
The event is a prelude to the 77th anniversary of DZRH, flagship station of Manila Broadcastuing Company which is organizing the race as a member of the “Sunset” partnership among establishments helping Land Bank’s programme to restore Manila Bay.
The event is also supported by Enervon, Petron, M. Lhuillier, Silka Papaya, Tapa King, Shakey’s, 555 Tuna, Kenny Rogers, Maynilad Water and Lice Alis.
