Singer-actress Ciara Sotto has said that she is not angry anymore with her former husband Joe Oconer, but it does not mean she has forgiven him.
Ciara, daughter of Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and actress Helen Gamboa, made her first public reaction on their separation during an exclusive interview on “24 Oras” on GMA 7 last Tuesday.
“Tapos na ‘yung galit na galit ka na stage,” Ciara said.
Ciara said that she does not want to fight with Oconer anymore for the sake of their one-year-old son.
“I think it’s very important na hindi kami magkaaaway for my son’s sake,” she also said.
But, Ciara pointed out that she has not forgiven Oconer even if they are already in good terms these days.
On January 15, Ciara made public about her marital problem on Instagram. Ciara and Oconer got married in 2010.
Multiple reports have linked actress Valeen Montenegro as the third party in their separation. Montenegro has denied the allegations.
Reacting, Ciara said: “Wow kapal! Deny pa more.”
“Siyempre, it’s not… ano ba, it’s not something na I experience every day, so parang nagulat din ako,” said Montenegro, during an interview with entertainment website PEP.
Asked if she has anything to do with the separation, Montenegro said: ““No, no, no.”
Montenegro added that she does not know where the rumors linking her to the split came from.
In February, Ciara posted a cryptic message on Instagram for the mistress.
“God is not going to bless you with someone else’s husband,” said Ciara said.
Ciara’s post was a follow-up to her earlier messages that hinted at a third party in her break-up with her husband. She also posted IG messages related to cheating.
Ciara, 35, and her son have returned to the home of her parents following the separation.
Montenegro, 25, appeared in the Kapuso morning series “Princess in the Palace.”
Ciara is cousin to Sharon Cuneta, Danica and Oyo Boy Sotto.
