Vice President Leni Robredo is attending the Cabinet meeting in Malacañang for the first time since her appointment by President Duterte as the new housing czar today.
Georgina Hernandez, spokesperson of Robredo, said her first Cabinet meeting will likely define her “active” role in the Duterte administration apart from serving as chairperson of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.
“Sa tingin po namin ay hindi lamang po para doon sa sektor na kanyang pagsisilbihan pero magkakaroon po talaga siya ng mas aktibong bahagi dito sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Duterte,” Hernandez said.
With the two highest officials in the land having good rapport, Hernandez said they would become “partners for change” under the new administration.
Hernandez added that Robredo was “looking forward to get to know and work with the other Cabinet members.” (Raymund F. Antonio)
