AL-DUB FEELS THE HEAT: The pressure to create a box office blockbuster out of their second movie is inevitably there.
Nevertheless, year-old loveteam partners Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza claim they have become so used to be under pressure that it all sounds so familiar by now.
Deep within, Alden says he continues to pray for the success of their second film, “Imagine You and Me,” which was shot for the most part in the picturesque cities of Como and Verona, Italy.
‘We can’t do anything much, except to pray and hope that our fans who supported us on ‘Eat Bulaga’ shall continue to support us through this new film,’ according to Maine during a recent interview.
“Imagine” is considered the couple’s launching movie even if they earlier appeared together in the MMFF 2015 entry, “My Bebe Love.”
The couple played merely supporting roles to Vic Sotto and Ai Ai de las Alas in said film.
Mike Tuviera says this is really an acid test for the country’s most famous loveteam.
The movie opens today, July 13.

AWAY-BATI SILA: “Imagine You & Me” casts Alden as a heartbroken guy based in Italy. Maine is an OFW and a hopeless romantic in search for her Romeo.
They clash for the most part and are considered incompatible.
The movie also stars Cacai Bautista, Cai Cortez, Irma Adlawan and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
The movie is a joint project among APT Entertainment, GMA Films, and M-Zet Television, Inc.
At the height of its popularity around this time last year, Al-Dub tandem broke the Twitter record worldwide registering the highest 42 plus million tweets during its “Tamang Panahon” episode held in October at the Philippine Arena. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
