Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III took time out to drive his sister Kris and nephews Joshua and Bimby to church following a lunch with their sisters recently.
“Our Sunday. Tito Noy drove us to Church from family lunch. My 2 boys said, why is Tito Noy using our car?;
“I said because he’ll teach me how to drive, so he needs to get used to this car,” Kris said on Instagram.
In jeans and polo shirt, Mr. Aquino, 56, drove the car as Joshua sat beside him. Behind them were Kris and Bimby.
Kris has vowed to keep in touch with her brother all the time despite separate houses. Her brother now lives in the Aquino residence on Times Street in Quezon City after he stepped down from office last June 30, 2016. Kris and sons currently stay in Ayala Alabang.
“In case you get lonely, you have 3 noisy, makulit, energetic house mates (Kuya Josh, Bimb, and me) ready to occupy your guest room & keep you in company whether you like it or not,” the actress-television host also said on IG.
Now that her brother is not busy, Kris has earlier said in an interview that her brother will soon take her sons to the beach.
“Nagpromise siya doon sa two boys. Kasi nagyaya sila na ‘Tito Noy, you said you wanted to go to the beach so you have to bring us.’ Kasi di ba nasabi niya iyon. Amg dami niyang inaugurate, ang dami niyang tree planting na ginawa, pero siya mismo yung maglakad-lakad. May mga movies din sila na nilista na we have to watch this,” she added.
Kris, 45, also said that one of her fondest memories during the administration of her brother was the opportunity to meet Pope Francis who visited the country in January 2015.
“I thanked God for the memories we will treasure. What stood out in my heart was the opportunity to have been in the presenc of @franciscus, attending His Mass w/ all other Filipinos who share our faith, and all the times Tito Noy made an extra effort to include Kuya Josh & Bimb… May God continue to bless President Duterte & Vice President Robredo, the success of our leaders is also the success of our country. MABUHAY ANG DEMOKRASYA,” she said.
Kris also thanked the Presidential Security Group who took care of them, especially her brother. “Thank you to the PSG who took excellent care of us, PNoy’s sisters & genuinely became a part of our family. We were blessed w/ a professional & compassionate team.”
On July 12, Kris said that she will have a meeting with executives of ABS-CBN to discuss her return to television.
“(On my way to the meeting for my return to TV. Please PRAY with me that whatever will happen & whatever road I’ll travel is God’s best path for me?),” she said in another IG post.
Kris has vowed to her loyal fans that she will come back on television with a regular program soon. She and her sons have just returned to the country following a two-month wellness vacation in Hawaii and California.
