President Duterte has appointed six new government executives, including his ally, popular musician and businessman Ramon Jacinto, Malacañang announced yesterday.
The President has designated Jacinto as presidential adviser on economic affairs and information technology communications with the rank of undersecretary. Jacinto, president of Philcomsat Holdings Corp., was the brains behind a campaign jingle for the Davao City mayor during the recent presidential campaign.
Also appointed were Arthur Tabaquero as presidential adviser on military affairs; Raymundo Elefante, Defense undersecretary for finance, ammunitions, installations, and materials; Gamaliel Cordoba as commissioner of the National Telecommunications Commission, and lawyers Lanee David and Jesus Clint Aranas as deputy commissioners of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
