The low-pressure area off the Pacific Ocean has entered the country’s area of responsibility yesterday but may not intensify into a tropical cyclone, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA estimated the location of the LPA at 1,280 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora before noon yesterday.
But it said that it is still too far to affect any part of the country.
The LPA is also not expected to intensify into a tropical depression due to a ridge of high pressure area, an anti-cyclone weather system, extending across eastern Luzon. (Ellalyn B. de Vera)
