If policemen and soldiers need ever money for a family emergency, they should look for the Good Samaritan residing in Malacañang.
President Rodrigo Duterte has offered to look for funds for uniformed personnel in distress as he warned them against resorting to corruption and illegal drugs for quick money.
“Yung mga pulis pati militar alam ko maliit ang sweldo ninyo, kaya kung may mga ganung sakit, God forbid yung asawa mo mag cancer ganun huwag lang magbenta ng shabu, pumunta ka sa akin,” Duterte said in his remarks at the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Davao City last Saturday.
“Sabihin mo sa superior down- down the line ‘Sir, pakisabi lang kay mayor na asawa ko na sa kuwan,” I will look for the money. Alam ko na hirap talaga,” he said.
Duterte said when he was Davao City mayor, policemen usually ran to him with their financial problems.
“Kung may problema kayong malaki di talaga kaya ng bulsa, huwag magbenta ng shabu punta kayo sakin, hanap ako ng pera,” he added.
Duterte maintained that he does not tolerate a corrupt military and police, reiterating those criminals in uniform must resign now. He also reiterated plans to double the salary of cops and soldiers to avoid temptation and motivate them to do a better job.
“The stability of the government, greatly depends on the law enforcement and the security workers. Kapag wala yan, ubos yan,” he said.
“I cannot run with a corrupt police and the corrupt military….Kaya kayong mga pulis na andiyan sa droga you make a choice. Resign, and do not wait for my action, nakikiusap ako sa inyo,” he added.
