Sen. Manny Pacquiao yesterday assured Filipinos that his job as a senator will not be adversely affected even if he decides to come out of retirement for a ring assignment on November.
“I have a duty to fulfill not only for the 16 million who voted for me but to the whole nation as well. My job as senator will remain my priority,” Pacquiao said after showing up at a PDP-Laban meeting in Makati City yesterday.
Pacquiao said he will see to it that training for the fight will not get entangled with his legislative work. He is expected to head at least two Senate committees and a member of several others.
The former Sarangani lawmaker explained that he can hold trainings before or after Senate sessions or committee hearings that would require his presence. (Ben R. Rosario)
