Three suspected drug peddlers were gunned down Saturday night by motorcycle-riding armed men in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, police reported yesterday.
Police identified the victims as Richard Torres; Joselito “Joy” Fernando; and a certain alias “Joey.”
Probers said that the three were walking along a street in Barangay Bagong Silang when motorcyle-riding men approached and shot them around 7:30 p.m.
The trio died on the spot while the gunmen, who were all wearing helmets, immediately fled, according to police.
Crime scene investigators retrieved from the place seven spent shells of .45-caliber pistol.
Based on the intelligence report of Caloocan Police, the three were suspected drug pushers in North Caloocan.
Police are now hunting down the gunmen believed to be members of a vigilante group. (Jel Santos)
