ZAMBOANGA CITY – The city government has allotted over P2 million for the more than 661 families affected by the fire that hit a crowded area at the village of Sta Catalina last month.
City Social Welfare and Development Officer Maria Socorro Rojas said the amount is intended to help the families alleviate their plight following the tragic fire incident that have hit their village on June 21.
Rojas said about 400 families displaced by the fire incident in Sta. Catalina trooped to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) complex in Zone IV, Thursday, June 21, to get their financial assistance provided by the City Government as part of its continuous social services program.
