THIRTY handsome men were presented to the press during a pre-pageant show for official candidates of Gentlemen of the Philippines 2016 contest held at a hotel in Quezon City last Saturday night.
This year’s candidates are Kian Jabin Sumague, Julius Ceasar Chio, Christian Lumasag, Manuel Alviz, Jr., Rex Peter Calimbayan, Gem Andrei Salvacion, Karl Mikhael Balderas, Mohammad Ali Imran Atendido, Jhon Hernando Victorio, Carlo Roy Roslinda, Mark Joshua Marquez, John Kristoffer Desuyo, Roland William de Dios, Jason del Juan Martin, Daniel Subagan, Jr.;
Johannes Dula Rissler, Jr., Job Abogado, Rayven Panlican, Ronel Gonzales, Dr. John Vincent Pua, Paul Renzo Velo, Paul Benjamin Abal, Jr., Andrea Biondo, Miguel Alexia Maliwat, Ray Ferdinand Chan Garcia, Samuel Joshua Arnonobal, Rodolfo RJ Alaba, Michael D. Mendoza, Justin Andrew Nadres, and Sonu Singh.
The Gentlemen Charities Inc., organizer of the contest, said that the provincial government of Quezon will be the host from July 26-30 where the pre-pageant, advocacy speech, and Traditional Barong competitions, charity activity and talent audition will be held. Venues are the towns of Sariaya, Lucena and Candelaria.
Six winners will be chosen during the finals to be held at the University of Asia Theater on E. Rodriguez, Quezon City on July 31 at 7 p.m.
They will represent the Philippines in international competitions such as Mister Model International in new Delhi, India; Mister Universal Ambassador, Surabaya/Bali, Indonesia; Mister Tourism International. Panama City; Mister Worldwide, Orlando, Florida; Mister Tourism World, Bali, Indonesia, and Mister Teen International, Indonesia.
During the press presentation, crowd favorite Biondo, who represented the Filipino community of South Italy, was named Darling of the Press, as voted by members of the media who attended the event. He was also named endorser for New Placenta for Men.
Sumague, of San Pablo, Laguna, was first runner-up, while Atendido, second runner-up.
