Criminal complaints were filed yesterday afternoon against road rage suspect Vhon Martin Tanto for the death of cyclist Mark Vincent Garalde and the wounding of Rocel Bondoc.
Tanto was brought before prosecutors of the Department of Justice (DoJ) for inquest over murder and frustrated murder complaints.
The complaints was considered submitted for resolution after Tanto waived the conduct of a preliminary investigation.
During the inquest proceeding, Public Attorneys Office (PAO) chief Persida Acosta insisted before prosecutors that Tanto never surrendered and that he was arrested by police.
Acosta pointed out that since manhunt operations was ongoing when he was captured in Milagros, Masbate last Friday.
Even though Tanto admitted to the crime, she added that he had never brought any of the victims to the hospital.
