TELEVISION host-actress Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla went on leave from her hosting stint in the noontime program “It’s Showtime” on ABS-CBN for the safety of her baby.
“I will always be grateful to my ‘It’s Showtime’ family and to ABS-CBN. Thank you so much. You don’t know how it means to me. Sana maintindihan nila. I’m fighting for my baby’s life so talagang kakaririn ko muna ito,” said Rodriguez, wife of action star Robin Padilla, during an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
“Mga-abundance (fans of the late night show), ipagdasal n’yo naman ako na maging healthy ang baby ko, please,” said Rodriguez.
It was not known if Rodriguez also went on temporary leave as one of the main hosts of the reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7.”
In March 2015, Rodriguez first suffered a miscarriage. Six months later, her triplet pregnancy was aborted.
For her third pregnancy, Rodriguez who is almost three months pregnant now undergoes heparin treatment for her baby.
Rodriguez, 31, announced in May that she was pregnant for the third time. Padilla and Rodriguez got married in India in August 2010.
