Games Today (JCSGO Gym, Cubao)
2 p.m. Topstar ZC Mindanao vs CaféFrance
4 p.m. Racal vs AMA Online Education
Racal seeks to solidify its position at the top when it wraps up the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup today at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Coach Caloy Garcia bared that that he sees the upcoming game against lowly AMA Online University as a preparation of sorts for the playoffs.
“We treat it as tuneup game. We just have to focus on that and fix the things we need to clean up,” he said.
But Garcia remains wary of the threat of the Titans, with James Martinez unloading high-scoring outputs in the team’s past two games.
“They’re a team on the rise as well. But we’ll go out there for the win. All we want is to go to the semis with a win para mataas din ang confidence,” he said.
Racal and AMA face off at 4 p.m., following the tussle between CaféFrance and winless Topstar ZC Mindanao at 2 p.m.
The Bakers are still hopeful that the Titans can upset the Tile Masters while also eyeing a victory over the Aguilas.
If that happens, CaféFrance can still force a triple-tie for the top spot, which would put it as the number one-seed due to the quotient, while Phoenix will settle for the for third seed.
However, the Bakers will have to give it their all since coach Egay Macaraya will be serving his one-game suspension after throwing a ball at an official in their 91-83 defeat to Phoenix last Tuesday.
