The Philippine National Police (PNP) said yesterday that a total of 550 drug suspects have been killed since the launching of anti-illegal drugs operation dubbed “Oplan Double Barrel” on July 1, 2016.
In a statement, Police Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos, PNP spokesperson, said that as of 6 a.m. of August 12, 2016, a total of 7,940 drug suspects have been arrested by the police.
He added that 284,684 houses have been visited by police while 284,684 users and 34,364 pushers surrendered to the police during their anti-illegal drugs operations.
Carlos said the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) recorded 148 drug suspects killed in Metro Manila. (Francis T. Wakefield)
