SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna (PNA) – Two drug surrenderees were killed over the weekend by still unidentified gunmen who barged into a room in 953 B13 Upper Magsaysay here, leaving beside their bodies a note stating, “SHABUHAN ANG LUGAR NA ITO! (THIS PLACE IS A DRUG DEN!)”.
Police chief, Supt. Harold Depositar, identified the victims as Alberto de Guia and Allan Reojano, both from General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite.
Initial investigations disclosed that both De Guia and Reojano had earlier surrendered to authorities in their town under the anti-illegal drugs operation “Oplan Tokhang”.
Alfredo de Guia, uncle of Alberto who lives nearby, said he heard gunshots at dawn Saturday but never expected his nephew to be one of the victims.
The two sustained several gunshot wounds and were rushed to a nearby hospital by relatives but were declared dead.
