MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – A family of five were killed after being electrocuted inside their house Monday in Barangay Bacundao East.
Supt. Ferdinand de Asis, spokesman of Pangasinan provincial Police identified victims as Ariel Colarco and Rochelle Mendoza and their children, Gieann, Henry and Michael. All five were seen sprawled on the floor lifeless.
Initial investigation reveals that Rochelle may have been installing a clothesline inside their house due to nonstop rain the past few days. Rochelle was discovered holding a galvanized iron while Ariel was clutching the wire intended for the clothesline.
Meantime in Batangas, a couple and their daughter were killed also because of electrocution.
Report from Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) said that victims were identified as Felix Catapang, 57 years old, his wife, Leonida Catapang, 46 and their daughter, Jamaica Delaney Catapang, 13 years old who are all residents of Sitio Kamalig, Barangay Reparo in Nasugbu.
Report said, Leonida tried to fix the electric wire which fell on the ground but she suddenly collapsed.
Felix and Jamaica who came from school tried to save Leonida but unfortunately suffered the same fate.
The victims were declared dead on arrival at the Apacible Memorial District Hospital.
