The mobile phone seized from a suspected “ninja cop” in Las Piñas City over the weekend has been submitted for forensic examination “to determine the extent of his operation and connection,” the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said yesterday.
SPO1 Jommel Andador and his cousin Richard Gargallo were busted when agents of NBI-Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division (NBI-AOTCD) swooped down on Andador’s house in Greenlane Townhouse in Las Piñas City last Friday.
Lawyer Ferdinand Lavin, NBI spokesperson, said Andador’s mobile phone was already undergoing tests “to determine the extent of their operation and connection,” saying that a probe should follow if they found out that other “ninja cops” from the Southern Police District are involved.
NBI-AOTCD Chief Manny Eduarte revealed that Andador, assigned to the Police Regional Office in Region 4B, works as an asset to his fellow police officers at the Southern Police District by providing targets for anti-illegal drugs operation.
“Diyos lang po ang nakakaalam ng lahat,” Andador said when sought to comment on the case he is facing.
