Senator Leila de Lima yesterday dismissed another allegation of President Duterte as “complete falsehood and absolute lie.”
De Lima is referring to Duterte’s promise to expose a matrix supposedly showing her alleged links to drug lords at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
“Alam niyo, ’yung aking malalapit na kaibigan saka pamilya, ang advise nila sa akin, wag na daw muna ako magsasalita tungkol sa isyu na yan kasi parang walang katapusan,” De Lima told reporters in an ambush interview.
“Ang puwede ko lang masabi ho ngayon, I say it again, those accusations against my alleged drug links are complete falsehood and absolute lie,” De Lima said.
Duterte, in an interview last Tuesday, promised to release the matrix soon, saying he is just in the process of validating the document. He declined to specify the role she played.
“I will show you, maybe this week, the matrix. I’m just validating the matrix of Muntinlupa connection. De Lima is there. It would show her role there,” Duterte told reporters.
De Lima earlier said she won’t participate in the House’s probe into her alleged links with drug lords inside the NBP. (Hannah Torregoza)
