ACTOR Enrique Gil has a message to guys out there who have a crush on his rumored girlfriend actress Liza Soberano:
“I will kill you!”
“Joke lang yun! Sorry kayong lahat!” said Gil, as he laughed about his initial response to a question during an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
Gil, 24, was asked by Abunda during the “Fast Talk” portion of the late-night show to give a three-word message to men who have a crush on Soberano.
In the same portion, Gil admitted he already cried for Soberano – but he did not reveal the details.
Asked what country Gil would be like, Soberano, 18, answered “Africa.”
“Because Africa is different, it’s wild like him. In a good way, I always wanted to go to Africa. It’s a dream of mine to go back there and he’s a dream come true,” Soberano said.
Lessons learned
Gil and Soberano, popularly known as LizQuen, appeared on the talk show to thank their fans for their support to their primetime show “Dolce Amore” which will end on Friday, Aug. 26.
They said that “Dolce” made them more mature and taught them how to be responsible as people and actors during their seven-month stint in the Kapamilya program.
“I became more responsible. We learned a lot of stuff. In a way, your character becomes you and it opens your eyes,” said Gil, who plays Tenten in the television series.
Soberano said: “I became more mature because of my strong and feisty character. I enjoyed being mature for a while and it also helped me become more mature in real life because I just turned 18 so I have to become more responsible and strong.”
Asked about her similarities with Serena, the character she plays in “Dolce,” Soberano said: “Serena happens to be a very strong, responsible woman. Part of me also became that. We fight for what we believe in. We go after what we want. We try to achieve our goals and our aspirations.”
When asked about the qualities of Serena she wanted to imitate, Soberano said: “I’m not as vocal as her and I’m scared to talk most of the time. But I’m trying to be. I’m trying to do it little by little. I try also to be straight to the point kasi minsan mahirap din ang maging straight to the point.”
