ANTIPOLO CITY – Mayor Casimiro ‘Jun’ Ynares, III is planning to temporarily suspend the giving of assistance to the Antipolo Police following the revelation of a witness during the Senate hearing that some policemen are allegedly involved in illegal drug activities and extrajudicial killing.
In a statement released by the city’s public information office, Ynares III said the city government is concerned and disappointed over the allegations made by a certain Mary Rose during the Senate probe recently on the extrajudicial killings.
The city government has been providing the city’s policemen and women with vehicles, computers and handheld radios apart from a monthly allowances to PNP-Antipolo members, regular gasoline allocation for all police vehicles, and funding for its programs and activities besides construction of its building facilities.
