GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Police arrested Friday a former official of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and his live-in partner during a drug raid in Tantangan, South Cotabato.
Chief Insp. Henry Villagracia, South Cotabato provincial anti-illegal drugs special operations task force head, identified the suspects as former police inspector Leonardo Abuan, 60 and his live-in partner, Emily Teberde, 54, who were nabbed by police operatives at their residence in Barangay Poblacion, Tantantangan.
Abuan, who went AWOL (absent without leave), was formerly assigned as provincial chief of PNP-CIDG for South Cotabato.
Police said the suspects were listed as high-value drug personalities in the province.
Seized from the suspects were several grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride worth P20,000 and a .45 caliber pistol. (Joseph Jubelag)
