The government is coming up with “world-class” public service advertisements by award-winning director Brillante Mendoza as part of its campaign against illegal drugs.
Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said Mendoza offered anew his services for free in directing these television commercials on the ills of illegal drugs. Mendoza was previously tasked to direct President Duterte’s first State-of-the-Nation Address last July.
The government is also saving millions since the anti-drug commercials will be aired for free in select movie houses and television networks from the entire month of September, Andanar said.
“We will launch the public service announcements or advertisements against illegal drugs. This will be the first ever PSA under the Duterte administration,” Andanar said in Filipino over government radio. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
