Aquino has two daughters – Iana, 23 and Thea, 20. She currently seen in the new Kapamilya teleserye “Till I Met You” topbilled by James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
Asked about JaDine, Aquino said: “They’re such professionals. I can see they look very tired especially when we were in Greece and they worked until the wee hours of the morning. It’s tiring but I don’t know how they do it.”
Aquino also said that she is very much involve in an advocacy project called “Juan Day” which encourages children in the mountains to go to school.
“Just five years ago, my friends started this. We’re a core group of five people and we invite other friends to help us. Then we go to the most remote schools, like in the mountain provinces, kasi sila talaga ’yung walang access to many things;
“So to encourage the parents to send their kids to schools, bibigyan namin sila ng bags, school supplies, tsinelas because these kids walk miles and miles to get to their schools barefoot kasi wala si-lang tsinelas;
“On our fifth year, we were able to build a classroom. The people I’ve worked with, like in the past teleserye, Piolo Pascual, he gave us some donations,” Aquino said. “We do it before school opening. We do whatever we can small or big.”
Abunda also promised to contribute to Aquino’s advocacy through his late-night talk show.
