BIG OR SMALL – “No big or small stars. Lahat pantay-pantay.” That more or less is how comedy queen Ai-Ai de las Alas, Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera, pambansang bae Alden Richards, and top comic duo Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola describe the cast of GMA’s noontime show “Sunday PinaSaya,” now starting its second year.
What matters is they make viewers happy… and never mind star status.
Also in “Sunday PinaSaya” are Kapuso teen queen Barbie Forteza, guapito Andre Paras, Asia’s pop sweetheart Julie Ann San Jose, comedian Joey Paras and Jerald Napoles, and glamorous Valeen Montenegro.
And more. Yes, more entertainers are joining “Sunday PinaSaya.” So get ready and join its two-part party, to be telecast live on Sept. 4 and 11.

FUN, FUN, FUN – As “Sunday PinaSaya” marks its first and enters its second year, the whole cast and staff behind the camera led by director Louie Ignacio promise more fun, fun, fun.
They love its comedy-musical format, having loads of fun, and this is felt by the Sunday audience, who are “infected” by it.
As earlier noted, there are no big or small stars in the show, “Basta lahat masaya, walang pa-istaran, walang sapawan.”

‘SUNTOK SA BUWAN’ – Jose Manalo is grateful he’s part of the ground-breaking show. “Salamat sa mga taong sumusuporta sa ‘Sunday PinaSaya.’ Kaming lahat, mula sa boss, creative, prod, even sa utility, kaming lahat sama-sama kami sa kung ano man ’yung narating ng show dahil hindi namin magagawa yan, kaming mga artista, lahat if wala ’yung mga tao sa likod ko. Kaya nakaka-proud na bahagi ako nito.”
Alden Richards enthuses, “Noong una, ang talagang gusto namin ay mag-offer ng something new for the Filipino audience. In short, suntok sa buwan and concept ng ‘Sunday PinaSaya’ at hindi namin inakalang people will like the show, its concept, hanggang sa nag-Number One pa siya, kaya thank You, Lord. Natutuwa kaming binigyan kami ng chance to shake things up a bit.”
So there. That’s why “Sunday PinaSaya” is No. 1.
