Russian International Master Nikolay Andrianov will perform simultaneous exhibition matches at 3:30 p.m. today at San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila.
The ‘simul’ is open to those enrolled in the fourth batch of the Milo Checkmate program held during weekends.
Medals, courtesy of the sponsoring Milo, will be awarded to those who will win or draw against IM Andrianov.
The event is part of the Milo Checkmate year-round program aimed at developing the chess talents of young children into masters’ strength level through formal and systematic method of teachings.
Among those who had performed exhibition matches against Milo Checkmate enrollees were former World champion GM Viswanathan Anand; the late Grandmaster Eduard Gufeld of Russia; World’s No. 14 Grandmaster Wesley So; Asia’s first GM Eugene Torre; GM Mark Paragua and GM John Paul Gomez.
