After being away for six months, Paolo Ballesteros finally returned to the popular noontime show “Eat Bulaga” on GMA 7 last September 5.
Ballesteros sang along to the Black Eyed Peas song “Where Is the Love?” as he was welcomed by other stars of the longest-running noontime program on television and fans. He showed up during the “Juan for All, All for Juan” segment of the show.
“I missed you, too,” said Ballesteros, when comedian Allan K told him they missed him so much.
“Kung mapapansin nyo na kumpleto na po kami. Abangan natin next week kung sino ang mawawala,” said co-host Jose Manalo. Joining them in the remote broadcast were Maine Mendoza and Wally Bayola.
Ballesteros has been with the noontime show since 2001.
In March, Pep.ph reported that Ballesteros was suspended from the show for six months after he allegedly ranted against one of the writers of “EB” on Facebook.
The management of “EB” reportedly ordered the actor to remove its timeline on FB but it was alleged that he did not follow the order immediately.
“My statement is still the same. It is an internal matter and like all other internal matters, it is our company policy not to discuss it in public,” said Malou Choa-Fagar, TAPE Inc. senior vice president, in a statement issued to the entertainment portal on March 15, when asked to comment on the issue involving Ballesteros.
Known for his make-up transformation and impersonation, Ballesteros has finished two movies during his “long vacation.” They are “Die Beautiful” and “Bakit Lahat ng Gwapo May Boyfriend?” with Anne Curtis-Smith and Dennis Trillo.
