Four suspected drug users were killed when they shot it out with police operatives who caught them engaging in a pot session in Quezon City Thursday night.
Police identified the slain suspects as Richard Hilbano, 32; John Lester Nacion, 20; Aniceto Villamor, 40; and Jestoni Yu, 29.
, join the 72 persons neutralized by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) for allegedly engaging them in an encounter.
Hilbano was included in the drug watchlist of Galas Police Station (PS-11).
Prior to the shootout, police said an informant called the PS-11 and told them that a pot session was ongoing inside a shanty on San Gabriel Extension in Villa EspaƱa II, Brgy. Tatalon.
Operatives of PS-11 anti-illegal drug unit immediately went to the area, the suspects fired shots at them.
The lawmen fired back, killing the suspects on the spot.
Investigators recovered from the scene three loaded .38-caliber revolvers, a .45-caliber pistol, a brick of dried marijuana, a sachet of suspected shabu, and drug paraphernalia.
The QCPD has yet to determine the value of the seized illegal drugs as the examination at the PNP Crime Laboratory is ongoing.
The suspects, meanwhile, were brought to Light Funeral Service for proper disposition. (Vanne Elaine P. Terrazola)
