The slain sister of actress Maritoni Fernandez has had previous arrest for drug pushing, according to the Southern Police District (SPD).
Senior Supt. Tomas Apolinario Jr., SPD district director, said Aurora Maria Moynihan, 45, of Ecology Village, Makati City, was in the drugs watch list of Taguig City following her arrest on Feb. 28, 2013.
Apolinario said that Moynihan was arrested with eight other drug personalities, including Joana Tinga and Henry Tinga, relatives of former Taguig City Mayor Sigfrido “Freddie” Tinga; and Crayon Ong who is currently detained at the Pasay City Jail due to a case of illegal possession of firearms.
Apolinario said that seized from the group were illegal drugs such as shabu, marijuana and ecstasy.
However, Moynihan, unlike her co-accused, was able to post bail.
A source inside the Pasay jail said Moynihan visited Ong last month.
“Bumisita siya dito kay Ong kaso hindi ko alam kung anong napag-usapan nila,” said the source who asked not to be named.
Ong denied request for an interview.
Moynihan was previously married to the late Eddie Boy Rocha, son of movie producer Eduardo Rocha. They had a son named Anton Gabriel Rocha.
Eduardo Rocha, best known for producing the epic “Heneral Luna,” said his son’s marriage with Moynihan was annulled in 2006. His son died in 2010.
Following the annulment of their marriage, Moynihan was linked to Ryan Francisco of Malibay, Pasay, who was detained on Nov. 8, 2012 for six counts of robbery and a case of attempted homicide, trespassing and direct assault.
PO2 Rodolfo Dangla of the Pasay City Jail, said that Moynihan used to visit Francisco before his transfer to Makati City jail.
“Bumibisita ‘yan dito dati para nga dumalaw dun kay [Francisco]. Nagdadala nga pagkain, kung anu-ano,” Dangla said.
Francisco’s cases in Pasay City were all dismissed, according to Dangla, but he was transferred to Makati City Jail on Aug. 14, 2013 for another case.
“Hindi ko alam kung anong kaso niya sa Makati pero this year (2016), nalipat naman siya sa Metro Manila District Jail (MMDJ) sa Bicutan,” Dangla said.
Meanwhile, Senior Supt. Rommil Mitra, chief of Makati City Police, said Moynihan was not included in their drug watch list.
Moynihan was shot dead Saturday by unidentified gunmen and left her body on the sidewalk along Temple Drive near Giraffe Street in Quezon City. Found beside her body was a placard linking her to illegal drugs. (MARTIN SADONGDONG)
