Four drug suspects were killed in separate buy-bust operations in Manila from Sunday noon to Monday dawn, police said.
One of the four slain suspects was a big-time drug pusher in Manila identified by police as Alberto Pamilar Jr., 35, of New Antipolo Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Two more suspects identified as Alan Salon, about 35 to 40 years old; and alias Dodong, about 40 to 45 years old, were also killed during the same operation.
Pamilar was reportedly a big-time peddler in the city operating in Sta. Cruz and Quiapo and a relative of a policeman.
So when police got a tip that Pamilar was at a residential area in Antipolo Street, Sta. Cruz, operatives immediately swooped down on the place.
Police Chief Inspector John Guiagui, chief of Plaza Miranda Police Community Precinct (PCP), disclosed that at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, they launched the operation but during the arrest, Pamilar, Salon and Dodong, all armed with guns, fired shots at the police.
The lawmen fought back, killing the trio in the process.
Guiagui later revealed that Pamilar’s cohorts were also on the drug watchlist of the police station.
At dawn yesterday, another drug suspect was killed in an encounter with police under the Mc Arthur bridge, Ermita, at 3:25 a.m. He succumbed to gunshot wounds in the body. (Betheena Kae Unite)
