Actress-television host Kris Aquino has apologized to a group of Filipinas who waited for her in Hong Kong but left when they got bored.
“Sending this message to the group of Filipinas behind me sa line in the beauty products chain here in HK I choose not to name (kasi masungit talaga their service) – I apologize because I know you wanted pics, but after I paid, ’yung checker inisaisa all the lashes & eyeliner I bought, super slow na nga, hindi pa nice ’yung salesgirls eh bayad naman na & kung nagka mistake, not my fault but the cashier’s, sad because so different from the innate charm of Pinoys, and the efficiency & helpfulness of the Japanese. I’m sorry because I think nainip kayo – when I looked for you – you were gone. I hope this message manages to reach you – hindi ko intention to not have a pic – I just didn’t want it inside the store. ❤️” said Aquino.
Aquino and her children Joshua and Bimby are on vacation abroad after she left ABS-CBN and signed with APT Entertainment, Inc., which is closely associated with GMA 7. They arrived in Japan on Sept. 13 and later proceeded to Hong Kong.
“My sons & I leave today for a little over a week – advanced making up on my part because I have an exceptionally full work calendar until Christmas. They had so much of me for 4 months – so we’ll be adjusting,” she said.
“When we come back, the unit I’m renting from Tito Manolo & Tita Maritess Lopez in Rockwell will be ready (I believe that is proof enough that there is no bad blood between the owners of my former network & me.);
“This the 1st & last I shall say about this chapter of my life. You deserved the true story & I gave you my truth, so that we may all move forward. So here’s a shoutout of THANK YOU to the Kapamilya Network ABS-CBN for all that was, and here’s a shoutout of THANK YOU to my new APT family for all that will be. And most of all my THANK YOU to all of you for allowing me to just be me,” Aquino also said.
On Sept. 12, Kane Errol Choa, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, issued a statement on Aquino’s transfer.
“We thank Kris for the many years that she has been a Kapamilya bringing joy, hope, and inspiration to our viewers worldwide. She will always be a Kapamilya and we wish her well in her new journey,” the statement said.
Aquino worked in the Kapamilya network for 20 years. The APT is the same group that manages the careers of actresses Marian Rivera and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza.
