CAMP JULIAN OLIVAS, Pampanga – Four alleged members of the “Espinosa Drug Group” were killed while two others were arrested following an anti-drugs operation Wednesday evening in Towerville Subdivision in Barangay Minuyan Prope, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan.
The gang leader, Erick Espinosa, managed to escape.
Police have yet to identify the slain suspects.
Senior Supt Romeo M Caramat Jr, acting Bulacan provincial director identified the arrested suspects as Mark Anthony Maglasang Lacxa, 22, and Rene Lloyd Robles Sacdalan, 26. Both are construction workers residing in Towerville Subdivision.
The shootout followed a buy-bust operation conducted by elements of the Intelligence and City Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operative Task Group (CAIDSOTG) in coordination with the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 3 against Espinosa’s group.
Wounded during the shootout was Michelle Dela Cruz Seleic who was rushed to a nearby hospital and was declared out of danger.
Investigators recovered three caliber 38 revolver, one caliber 45 pistol and an improvised handgun, six sachets containing suspected “shabu” and assorted drugs paraphernalia. (FRANCO REGALA)
