A former actress, who starred in several sexy movies in the nineties, fell in a buy-bust operation inside her home in Napocor Village in Barangay Pasong Tamo in Quezon City.
Karen Palasigui, popularly known as “Sabrina M”, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. along with two men, identified as Erwin San Martin, 29, and Edwin Coloma, 38, residents of the same barangay.
Palasigui, 36, had been under surveillance following intelligence report that she allegedly peddles illegal drugs.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) played one of the surveillance clips showing Palasigui sniffing shabu inside her house during a media briefing yesterday.
Hours after Palasigui was caught on video, police set up the entrapment operation.
After Palasigui handed over to a poseur-buyer a medium-sized sachet of suspected shabu weighing about five grams for R6,000, police stepped in to arrest the former actress.
San Martin and Coloma, meanwhile, were caught in the middle of a shabu session in Palasigui’s house.
Confiscated from them were three more sachets of shabu, various drug paraphernalia, three mobile phones and P3,280 cash.
They also recovered from the former actress’ possession the buy-bust money.
QCPD chief Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said Palasigui has committed to cooperate in their investigation.
He said Palasigui mentioned well-known names as among her clients, but declined to disclose clues to the media.
Eleazar said they are also looking at the possibility that Palasigui may be linked to large drug syndicates operating in the city.
Palasigui is best known as the “petite bombshell” who was among the first to jump on the TF (titillating film) bandwagon that Rosanna Roces started.
She starred in a number of sexy films in the ‘90s including “Karanasan: The Claudia Zobel Story,” “Favorite Subject: Sex Education,” and “Totoy Mola.” (VANNE TERRAZOLA)
