Four inmates of the New Bilibid Prison who were implicated in the alleged riot that left a convicted drug lord dead and two others wounded have been transferred to a maximum detention facility in Camp Crame in Quezon City.
Director General Ronald dela Rosa, chief of the Philippine National Police, confirmed the transfer of Ruben Tiu, Clarence Dongael, Edgar Cinco, and Tomas Donina upon the request of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
The CIDG was tapped to assist in the investigation of the alleged riot that left Tony Co dead and two other high-profile inmates, including Jaybee Sebastian, wounded.
Sebastian, said to be being forced to testify against Sen. Leila M. de Lima on the alleged Bilibid drug trade, tagged Donina as the one who stabbed him. (Aaron B Recuenco)
