CONFUSED, NOT GAY: Sam Milby prefers to call his off-beat character in new film “Third Party” confused, not gay.
In the new Star Cinema movie set to open on Oct. 12, Sam plays a man who breaks up with his girl (Angel Locsin).
Years later, Girl tries to rekindle their relationship but discovers something. Boy has a new live-in partner, and he’s Zanjoe Marudo!
Sam says he took on the project as it’s a rom-com, not a serious gay drama. “The scenes are quite funny, and they were also fun to do,” he says.
As for Zanjoe, the guy is more daring and fancy-free. He has done a few gay roles in the past, which made filming “Third Party” a breeze for him.

SANA HUWAG NAMAN: At the film’s media launch, co-actor Beauty Gonzales was asked how she would take it if a man stood between her and her boyfriend.
“Sana huwag naman mangyari sa akin ang ganyan,” she prayed.
Beauty stood tall, slim and pretty, like she didn’t give birth in 2015. She’s back for good, she promised.
Angel Locsin prayed for the same miracle as Beauty. She said she hasn’t experienced anything of the sort in real life and would gladly avoid any such occurrence.
“Third Party” is directed by Jason Paul Laxamana whose credits include “Babagwa,” “Love is Blind,” and “Mercury is Mine.”
During a sneak preview, we noted how funny certain scenes and dialog turned out. Credit goes to the adroitly written script and the cast’s comic timing, great performances. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
