Severe tropical storm “Julian” (international name “Aere”) located outside the country’s area of responsibility continues to enhance the southwest monsoon or “hanging habagat” that will bring rains and thunderstorms over some parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the habagat will bring cloudy skies with moderate to occasional heavy rains and isolated thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, La Union, and Pangasinan today.
It warned residents in these areas of possible floods and landslides due to continuous habagat rains.
