Ten months after he broke up with actress Bea Alonzo, Zanjoe Marudo has said that he remains single and not looking for a new love these days.
“Single pa rin. Sa ngayon masasabi ko namang I’m ready (to fall in love). Pero hindi ako naghahanap. Pag hindi, andito naman ako, mahal ko ang sarili ko at pamilya ko,” said Marudo when asked about the state of his heart, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN recently.
Marudo, 33, said he also consider his exes his friends and does not harbor any grudge against them.
Marudo appeared on the late-night program to promote his latest movie “The Third Party” which also stars Angel Locsin and Sam Milby.
Asked how he prepared for his latest gay role, Marudo said: “First time ko itong ginawa na nasa isang relationship.
It was not the first time that Marudo portrayed a gay role in the movie. He has acted gay in “24/7,” “Bromance,” and “Maria Leonora Theresa.”
Marudo also said that he has not been courted by gay men.
He added that he got excited when the role was offered to him.
The actor also said that he was still on cloud nine when he appeared in a cameo role with director Laurice Guillen.
Yung ang role namin,” Marudo said.
