ONE of the most expensive coffees in the world can be found in the Philippines. It is the Luwak coffee.
This expensive coffee comes from the berries which grow in the Philippines and Indonesia. But, the secret here is it should pass through first in the digestive organs of Asian Palm Civet.
The price of Kopi Luwak costs between US$100 and $600. This costly elixir has a wonderful aroma and not-so bitter taste.
However, it’s not just the aroma and flavor that you pay for. Its benefits can give you another high.
According to wildokopiluwak.org, “Luwak coffee, the most expensive coffee in the world until today, is still processed naturally by the digestive system of luwak animal, has a lot of advantages especially for your health.”
Two of its benefits are its low acid and caffeine level. This coffee makes it good for people with gastric and heart problem to drink without thinking of complications.
Luwak coffee fuels drinkers’ blood vessels and adrenaline. This helps body to rejuvenate and eliminate stress and exhaustion.
The antioxidant content of Luwak coffee promotes healthy brain cells. This can then help prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
