Actress-singer Vina Morales has admitted she committed the wrong decisions in life as she sought forgiveness for her sins.
“God knows I made the wrong decisions. The biggest sin siguro is alam na ni Lord yun. I made a mistake in my life and hindi ko naman pinagsisisihan yun because I have Ceana,” Morales said during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN recently.
Morales, who turns 41 on Oct. 17, did not reveal the wrong decision she made but observers believe that she was referring to her messy relationship with businessman Cedric Lee.
Morales and Lee were never married. They have been fighting for custodial rights of their seven-year-old daughter since they broke up in 2009. She vowed to fight her him in court.
“I had wrong decisions na lahat talaga minsan dumadaan sa ganun. Ngayon naman is I ask for forgiveness and I’m sure He did. I’m sure He forgave me already. I ask for forgiveness from the bottom of my heart,” Morales said.
Asked to comment on her relationship with Lee these days, Morales said: “Medyo magulo po ang sitwasyon namin ngayon.
Yung iba nababasa nila na may mga libel na complaint sa akin against me. It’s in Nueva Ecija, Caloocan, in Paranaque.
Nakakalungkot man but jt started with me being open and honest about what I felt and may pinaglalaban ako;”
“Sana kung decision na yun will be in my favor dahil lahat ng sinsabi ko ay tutoo. Sino ba naman ang may gusto ng gulo wala naman po akong nakaaway. Ngayon lang po ako nagsalita at kailangan ko na ring magsalita;”
“Seven years na po kaming hiwalay. We had our own loves I had moved on. Bigla na lang ganun hindi naibalik yung anak ko for nine days so to me hindi naman pwedeng tatahimik ako. Mas gusto ko mangagaling po yun sa korte kung talagang hindi na n’ya magagawa sa kapwa na uli,” Morales added.
Morales is also celebrating her 30th anniversary in show business with a major concert entitled ‘Vina@Thirty’ at the Kia Theater in Cubao, Quezon City on October 14.
She recalled that she only wanted to do a duet with megastar Sharon Cuneta when she joined show business but her career went successful.
“I was nine years old and I won in 6th Cebu Music Pop Festival. I used to sing in a church and then Fr. Prince Malinao wrote a song for me for the pop festival;
“So grand prize winner ako run. Nung nananlo ako nakita ako nila Tito Vic and Mama Mina. Sabi nila anung gusto mo?
Sabi ko gusto ko pong maka-duet si Ate Sharon (Cuneta). Tapos nangyari yun sa first movie ko na ‘Nakagapos Na Puso,’ ” she said.
Morales was last seen in the Kapamilya primetime teleserye “Born For You.”
